Fast Garlic Bread

This is a very simple way to make garlic bread, if you are in a hurry or just want to keep it easy.

Fast Garlic Bread

one french loaf cut in half lengthwise
garlic powder

After you have cut your loaf in half, place on a baking sheet cut side up (as shown in the picture). Sprinkle each half lightly with the garlic powder (you can add more if you like a stronger flavour). Spread butter over the halves as thickly as you like it. Sprinkle as much oregano as you want over top. I like to add these toppings in this order to help the flavour sink into the loaf more, at least it seems that way to me.

Bake at 350F for 10-15 minutes. You can broil on high for about 1 minute after baking to crisp the bread more if you desire.

If you want to add cheese, just add grated or sliced mozzarella on top and bake in the same way.
